Congratulations to Mary Fuller on her new role.
On September 19th, 2023 the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced the appointment of Mary Fuller as the new Regional Director of the USPTO’s Silicon Valley Regional Office (SVRO) in San Jose, California.
As Regional Director, Mary Fuller will play a crucial role in advancing the strategic vision of the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO, Kathi Vidal.
Her mission will be to ensure that the USPTO’s initiatives and programs are finely tuned to meet the unique needs of the Western Region’s diverse industries and stakeholders. This will involve spearheading outreach efforts to bolster the innovation ecosystem across the region, providing support to nearly 70,000 patent holders and over 500,000 trademark registrants.
Prior to joining the USPTO, Mary served as the Head of Legal at Jupiter Intelligence, a leader in climate risk analytics. She also worked as a Senior Clinical Fellow and adjunct professor at Santa Clara University School of Law.
Mary Fuller officially assumed her new role on Monday, September 25, following her swearing-in at the USPTO’s San Jose, California office.
